Slovakians Dodo Kopold and Michal Sabovcik created a new route up the northwest Face of Great Trango Tower in the Karakoram, Pakistan. The route, called "Out of Reality", ends on the shoulder about 400m below the summit of the mountain. They made the ascent over 5 days, climbing alpine style with one haulbag and one small rucksack

The upper part of the route involved overhanging mixed climbing with hanging ice, described as "something incredible" by Dodo Kopold. They reached the top of the pillar crowning the route after a bad night and a day of climbing through bad weather. 400m of easy climbing separated them from the summit of the mountain. And then they dropped their stove. They descended without continuing to the summit - "I choose life," said Dodo Kopold
