Trango Tower - Eternal Flame - 2013

An all-woman Korean team has climbed Trango Tower, in the Baltoro area on Pakistan's Karakoram mountains.

An all-woman Korean team has climbed Trango Tower, in the Baltoro area of Pakistan's Karakoram mountains.

Mi Sun Chae, Mi Sun Han, Jin Ah Lee and Jum Sook Kim reached the summit on 12 August 2013 via a route referred to in press reports as the "German route" - presumably Eternal Flame.

The climbers had abandoned a previous attempt on 4 August due to bad weather. They returned to the climb on 8 August and reached the summit early in the morning of August 12 , after four days and five nights on the wall.
