Plateau Peak - West Ridge - 2013

A team of Indian mountaineers made the first ascent of Plateau Peak, in the Saser Kangri Massif of the Eastern Karakoram range, on 31 July 2013.

A team from the Himalaya Club's Kolkata Section has made the first ascent of Plateau Peak, in the Saser Kangri massif of the Eastern Karakoram, Ladakh.

The team approached the mountain from the Nubra Valley and established a base camp on the South Pukpoche Glacier and climbed the mountain's west ridge, via a further 3 camps. They reached the summit on 31 July.

Plateau Peak had been the subject of several previous attempts.
