Slovenian climbers Andrej Stremfelj and Rok Zalokar made the first ascent of Janak, in the Nepal Himalaya, in May 2006.

Climbing in alpine style, they reached the summit via the southwest pillar. They descended the line of ascent by abseils and down-climbing.
